Nederland Purchases Eldora Mountain Ski Area

The Town of Nederland is finalizing plans to buy Eldora Mountain ski area, one of the ski areas closest to the Denver Metro Area. The town is hoping to finalize the purchase by the beginning of October. The purchase price for the ski will remain confidential.

The current owners of Eldora, POWDR, will continue to support the mountain for the first two years after its purchase, then the town will partner with a coalition, 303 Ski, to operate the mountain. After the transition, Eldora employees will become town of Nederland employees. Eldora also confirmed it will remain an IKON pass mountain.
